Before, well way before Edward or the other one, there was the original master of fangs. The one who slid up walls like a lizard and had a groupie of female vampires ready for mission seduce-to-kill. Hmmm, maybe not much has changed. But imagine this. Bela Lugosi’s black and white classic, Dracula as a backdrop to the live and original music of Philip Glass and the Kronos Quartet, set in the magnificence of the State Theatre. This will be a gothic seduction like no other.

Jan 14. 7.30pm & Midnight. State Theatre, 49 Market St, Sydney. $55-$65. 1300 723 038, sydneyfestival.org.au
